For the Public
The Canadian Professional Counsellors Association has filled the gap as a regulatory body for counsellors in provinces where regulatory bodies do not yet exist. Even after regulatory bodies formed in provinces across Canada, the CPCA still maintains an active presence to support our members.

In addition to supporting members registered with the CPCA, we also advocate for responsible regulation of the counselling profession across Canada. As such, we have a robust Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and Complaints and Discipline process. Additionally, all of our members are required to carry professional liability insurance. You can read our Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, and Complaints and Discipline process in the documents below, or clicking on the button on the right. You can also reach out to the Board of Directors if you have any questions about the Code of Ethics or Standards of Practice, or the Registrar if you have any questions about the Complaints and Discipline process.
